ESL 0622: 590 Pay airline fees

590

F: So, that's the plan. We drive to San Francisco, then to Portland, then to Seattle, then to Vancouver.

M: What? Why are we driving to Vancouver instead of fly?

F: Have you known all of the fees on the airline are tacking on these days. There are fuel of surcharges, and now whole slew  at the fees.

M: Like what?

F: Well. There are a check  baggage fee for one.  You have to pay check just one bag, and each additional one bag is another fee. If you have oversize and overweight bags, there is another fees.

M: Ok, I don't like fees either, but I don't think that justify driving all the way to Vancouver.

F: Well, Let me tell you about some of the other fees. Do you want a snack or a meal on the flight? You're going to shell out for those now. Do you want to flight standby? Yes, you will be free, but not any more.
Do you want to make your reservation by phone instead of internet? That is another fee. Do you want a pielo or a Brandy for your lone flight? Ok, but that is another fee.

M: Ok, don't get work up. I see what you mean. They really know how to nickel and dime you. Once we all all of these fees to the base fare, I guess flight isn't such a good deal.   But do you really want us to drive 3 days to get to Vancouver?

F: What is the problem with driving?

M: I don't know. Maybe it is the fact I only have a  weak for vacation as soon as we get to Vancouver and we  have to turn back.
