ESL 0714 580 Retiring from a Job

Improve your English even fast.

F:  Are you going to sit in the retirement party?

M: Sure, I want a glimpse of  the future. I can't wait to retire.

F: It will be a long time before  you get the golden handshake. Me, I may be ready for the early retirement.

M: Are you seriously thinking about taking the early retirement package the company is offering?

F: I'm thinking about it. My health isn't getting any better, and I don't want to spend the rest of my days in the office.

M: But, can you afford it?

F: The early retirement package is pretty generous. And I have saved up a nice little nest eggs over the years.

M: Then, what are you waiting for? If I were in your suites, I wouldn't hand and haw about it. I make the decision to retire now, today.

F: Why are you getting all work up. Are you after my job?

M: No way. I just can't stand to see someone who can retire stay at this job. I trace the place with you in the minute.

F: I doubt that. Not the man in the car caring member  of AARP. You are too young to think about the retirement.

M: I didn't say I was ready for retirement.  I am just thinking about it all the time.
