来Davis已经13天，经过短租房西式的生活后，搬进了离学校更近的公寓，虽然是学生公寓，但是两居室的格局比国内的条件还是好很多。在余润祥同学的厚道支持下，张艺同学的体力支持下，石磊的汽车支持下，轻松的将书架和床搞定。一张床，一个书架，一个大到足够装好几个人的壁橱，生活好到足够安心学习和思考了。学习的思路刚刚开始，UC Davis的能量正在不断吸取，个人激情也在轻松的环境中不断激发。未来2年的美国生活一定会在人生中留下浓重的一笔，并影响随后的人生。

北邮读博以来的研究总结及研究方向思考

来到新的研究环境，在新的研究还没有开始以前，对过去研究工作，特别是北邮过去2年时间的研究需要很好的总结，以便更好地启迪未来。在北邮研究的2年时间里，很多研究是围绕着项目开展，所以存在很大的依赖性，纯研究的东西比项目开发的少，唯一真正做过纯研究的工作则是为了能够中论文而开展的工作，那种投入的感觉和深耕细作的状态现在都令我无法忘记。而围绕项目进行开发的过程，更是让我对技术比较分析有了一些直观的感受，对Unix环境开发有了更多经验。基于光网络的业务可以概括我在过去2年的尝试，光网格，层1VPN，云计算和SAN，这些都是光网络潜在的业务需求，此类业务的灵活提供就需要对光网络资源良好的封装，在封装光网络资源的同时，为了性能和效能的优化，也需要封装足够的IT资源，计算和存储是两大重要资源，就是目前被归入数据中心的资源。业务平面是基于光网络控制平面之上用于业务提供的功能集，它包含了上述的所有功能。

几个月之前偶遇ECO，发现是一个值得学习和陪伴一身的杂志，不仅可以培养全球的视野，站在更加"国际化"的角度看到全球的问题；也是一本学习和提高英文水平的好材料。准备像当年对待《南方周末》一样好好追求我的ECO。鉴于纸版的难求，只能依托网络，寻找电子版。目前有两个资源值得推荐：一是pdf版的杂志，可以通过emule从verycd上下载，但是会延迟半个月（也就是两期）左右。二是国内一些爱好者发起的ECO网站www.ecocn.org，会开展有选择的翻译工作，然后整理发行ECO WEEKLY,但是不是很稳定，毕竟ECO TEAM还不是很稳定。最近会经常上ecocn网站，但是感觉过于零散，并没有站在我这种普通读者的角度考虑，要自己找一整期的英文杂志还比较困难，所以直接在verycd上下载。一般pdf版的有170页左右，全部阅读困难很大。所以做到以下几点比较重要。 1、坚持每期必看，
